About me
Originally from Rome, I relocated to Berlin in 2007 after many formative years in the vibrant Italian capital.
My educational foundation spans humanities (Greek and Latin philology, philosophy, and history) at a classical high school in Rome, followed by a bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences from the University of Rome "Tor Vergata." My thesis on web application security and privacy sparked my transition into technology.
Outside of work, I'm a proud parent of two energetic children. I'm passionate about good food, especially pizza, and love cooking for family and friends. I also enjoy live concerts and documentaries on history, science, and culture.
Technology
My passion for technology started early. In the mid-1980s, I received my first computer, a Commodore 64. I still vividly remember writing my first lines of code in Basic, captivated by the possibilities technology offered. This sparked a lifelong interest in computers that has only grown stronger over the years.
I am a tech enthusiast who believes innovative tools and methodologies can enhance our quality of life and revolutionize how we communicate. The key lies in responsible and effective use, which is why fostering a culture of ongoing, safe education is essential. In 2022, I co-founded BIT (Beam Institute of Technology), a technology school where we teach coding and other tech skills to underemployed and underrepresented groups.

My professional ratings include PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer, IDC Staff Instructor, and Emergency First Response Instructor. I can teach all PADI diver courses from Open Water Diver to Assistant Instructor, plus Emergency First Response courses and many specialties, including Project Aware courses, Enriched Air Nitrox, Dry Suit, Deep, Wreck, Digital Underwater Photography, Sidemount, and Cavern. I use a TS-system sidemount configuration and am a certified IANTD and NSCD Full Cave diver.
In 2013, I started an international diving school in Berlin. I have experience as a diving operation manager, gas compressor operator, and staff instructor. In 2026, I founded MBAR (Millibar Technology), an ecosystem to support and accelerate digitalization in the diving industry.
I am an activist for the protection and preservation of wildlife and marine environments.
